The Islamic Ruling on Music and Singing
Mustafa Al-Kanadi's
excellent book on music and signing in Islam is a must read
for Muslims. This "book" is online on at least half a dozen
different web sites. However, all of these online versions
are from a single, EDITED version of Brother Al-Kanadi's original
work. That version has many, many typographical errors, some
added text (without it being apparent as such) and is without
a few important sections, such as the section "Exceptions
to the Rule of Prohibition." In honor of Brother Al-Kanadi,
I present to you, as best I can, the full, complete and unedited
book as it was printed by his publishers, Abul-Qasim Bookstore,
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I highly recommend that you purchase
a copy of this book to add to your home library.
